Filling technology selection
PET Bottle Filling Machine Compatibility Guide
PET is not one universal package. Neck finish, wall distribution, base design, body stability, heat resistance, pressure resistance and closure determine how the bottle can be rinsed, transferred, filled and capped.

PET Bottle Handling Before and After Filling
Bottle production, orientation, transfer and pallet handling are separate interfaces that can change filler stability and project scope.

PET package fit
Use these boundaries before discussing a model number.
Suitable for
PET bottles with complete drawings, physical samples and a beverage process compatible with their heat and pressure limits.
Not automatically suitable for
Unknown preforms, unsupported bottle shapes, containers without verified heat/pressure performance, or missing closure information.
Selection status
Preliminary selection only. Final data will be defined in the technical proposal.

Engineering decision checks
| Decision area | What to verify | Why it changes the machine |
|---|---|---|
| Neck handling | Support ring, finish and transfer geometry | Controls grip and star-wheel design |
| Bottle body | Stability, squeeze and vacuum behavior | Affects guides, transfers and filling method |
| Process resistance | Temperature and internal pressure | Determines package suitability for hot-fill or carbonation |
Buyer questions
Frequently asked questions
Which PET bottle details can change the filling machine?
Neck finish, support ring, dimensions, body stability, base design, heat or pressure resistance and the closure can all change handling and change parts.
Does bottle volume alone select a PET bottle filling machine?
No. Two bottles with the same nominal volume can have different necks, diameters, heights, base geometry, wall distribution and stability. Controlled drawings and representative samples are needed.
Can the same PET bottle be used for water, hot fill and carbonated drinks?
Do not assume so. Heat-set performance, vacuum response, internal-pressure resistance, base design, neck stability and closure suitability must match the actual beverage process.
